JENNIFER

 

I’m Jen and I’m a 39 year old “Transplanted Bostonian” living in Coventry, RI. I am in my senior year at URI, working on completing my B.S. in Psychology with a focus in Cognitive Neuroscience. I am hoping to complete my PhD in Neuroscience so I may continue working (as I have been doing as a research assistant on campus) on developing treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, like Alzheimer’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.

I have been working as an MRI Technologist for the past 20 years (yes….I’m “old”!) and waited until my two children were older so that I could go back to school and study what really interests me, instead of continuing on using my first college degree on a career that was “good enough”.

When I’m not studying, working in a research lab, working in a hospital or “mommy-ing”, I like to take my boat out for a sunset cruise with my boyfriend, David, and our tiny Chihuahua, Kilo.
